MCOH member Tony Scharp and his son James visited the Galveston Lone Star Flight Museum during the open-house weekend April 26-27. James tried out the pilot seat of this historic bomber. Tony's Texas Highway Patrol Mustang is displayed above.

MCOH Associate Sponsor MUSTANG MANIA Russell Suggs  had his vintage 1970 Trans Am racecar at Texas World Speedway recently.

MCOH member Roman Collins held the Joe P. Collins Memorial Car Show in Lufkin in memory of his father. Proceeds from the show went to the Hospice in the Pines. The event was well attended and MCOH members Tom Mallette and Pete & Sharon Sigwardt participated. Tom Mallete's Special Service 1989 Mustang took a Class Winner Trophy. Pete & Sharon Sigwardt's 2005 Mustang GT received a Class Award.

The Institute for Research & Rehabilitation, TIRR Foundation seeks to improve the lives of people with physical disabilities by supporting research, education and patient care dedicated to rehabilitation.

Saturday May 17 - MCOH Cruise Nite to Otto's BBQ/Barry's Pizza at the Fountains Shopping Center, Southwest Freeway  at Airport exit. We will meet at Freeway Ford at 4:30 PM for a 5 PM departure. Join us for some cruisin and eatin !

Sunday May 18 - MCOH  Monthly Meeting 2 PM at Freeway Ford. Visitors always welcome. Review MCOH Fun Ford Weekend results. Plans for June/July events. Door prizes, 50/50 drawing and more fun ! Join us if you can.

Announcements:

MCOH Spring Open Car Show was fun !  We had 95 total entries - 28 Class Winners, 61 Class Awards, Dealer's Choice Trophy to Nolan ONeal for his 66 Mustang convertible, People's Choice Trophy to Kevin Bullock for his super Cadillac, Club Participation Award went to the MOPAR Club, and two "Dynamic Duo" multiple entry awards went to Ellis & Tracy Stern and to  Eric Lunsford and his wife, and the Longest Distance Award went to Douglas Bankhead from San Antonio. $100 in gift certificates from Mustang Mania given away, $165 cash  from 50/50 drawing to Ron Woods, and over 30 door prizes won by participants. Thanks to all are participants and MCOH show organizers/set-up/take-down volunteers, Freeway Ford, Mustang Mania, Crown Trophy, and each of our vendors.
